Growing up, I was moved by the work of Ansel Adams — his ability to find drama and stillness within a single frame, to make a landscape feel like it had a heartbeat. That sensibility lives in the way I read light, compose a shot, and choose the moment to press the shutter. The documentary side comes from my love of human truth. I've long admired Steve McCurry's portraits — images that don't ask their subjects to perform, but simply catch them being alive. That's what I'm after on your wedding day. Why San Francisco The Bay Area is more than where I work. It's where I learned to see. I know the way morning light falls through the rotunda at SF City Hall at 10am. I know which angle at Baker Beach puts the Golden Gate in the background without overpowering the people in the foreground. I know the fog at the Marin Headlands, the cliffs at Lands End, the stillness of Crissy Field just before sunrise. That local knowledge isn't a bonus — it's the difference between a beautiful photo and an extraordinary one. I also travel throughout California for couples who want something beyond the Bay. Big Sur's wild coastline. The vineyards of Napa and Sonoma. The dramatic cliffs of Carmel. The quiet roads of the Central Valley. Wherever your story takes place, I'll be there to capture it. My Background I studied photography at the New York Film Academy — an experience that shaped not just my technical skills, but the way I think about storytelling, narrative, and the relationship between photographer and subject. Photography school taught me the craft. Ten years of real weddings taught me everything else: how to be invisible when the moment calls for it, how to be a calm presence in a room full of emotion, how to find the frame that captures not just what happened — but how it felt. I had the rare honor of documenting the Centennial Gala at FILOLI Estate — a once-in-a-century celebration at one of the most storied historic mansions in the Bay Area.
